The Steel Plate Conveyor (SPC) series has been developed to provide a flexible state-of-the-art bulk materials handling solution for dealing in particular with fine materials and extreme process temperatures.
This robust and enclosed design conveyor reflects industry requirements for a solution that operates with high availability and low maintenance whilst in parallel keeping dust emissions to an environmentally acceptable level. Designed to be a self-cleaning conveyor, the SPC is very compact and is the best solution to convey bulk material with temperatures up to 700 °C and slope up to 40°. The typical conveying width range is from 400 to 1.200 mm for a capacity up to 250 m3/h. Tailor-made solutions are possible for special applications.
The typical design includes a totally enclosed conveyor with special bottom section to recover the small amount of material passing through the steel plates. An open top version is also available when dust emissions are not considered to be an issue for the environment.
Drag Chain Conveyor
The Drag Chain Conveyor is used to continuously remove and convey a wide range of bulk materials over short distances. The single or multiple chain strand enclosed systems are driven by a motor through a gear reducer and ensure low wear and reduced power consumption.
This conveyor reflects customers’ needs for a machine that operates reliably, with low maintenance requirements and environmentally friend.
It is designed to be dust-proof and with single or double chain in order to comply with the different applications. A typical conveying width starts from 250 mm for the single chain up to 1.000 mm for the double chain. Tailor made solutions are possible for special applications. In the double chain version, the drag chain conveyor can also be used as an extractor underneath hopper. The typical design includes a totally enclosed conveyor with special wear resistant guides, stuffing box for shaft sealing and low chain speed (typically 0,05 m/s).
Extractor Conveyor
To extract bulk material from storage areas like silos and hoppers an extractor conveyor is used. Depending on the application, the extractor conveyor can be rubber belt type, steel belt type or drag chain type. As alternative it can also be used a Multi-Screw Conveyor. We have experience with all type of extractors that mostly work as flow regulator for the material to be conveyed into the downstream process. The fine-tuning of the extractors allows an accurate and steady flow of material.
The VFD on drive unit controls the material flow. The feeding hopper is generally part of the scope of supply due to its critical role into the system operation and the design shall be done following the good practice in order to extract material without issues and with a free flowing.
Belt Conveyor
The belt conveyors are designed in compliance with the most recent International Codes & Standards and can be customized to comply with specific requirements. The scope of supply can include steel structures, transfer towers and control system in order to provide a fully automated plant. Tripper cars, shuttle conveyors, extractor conveyors are part of our product portfolio.
Depending on the application, the carrying stations can be two or three-rollers, plane or concave type. Impact rollers, lined with rubber, are used in the loading and transfer points.
The design of each conveyor considers, the material characteristics, the operating and site conditions in order to find the best solution to meet the customer needs. Environmental and safety aspects are particularly investigated for each application as dust emission, noise & vibration, personnel safety and pollution control.
Bucket Elevator
We supply high and low speed bucket elevators for different type of materials and application. The selection depends on physical and chemical material characteristics, material size and rate, temperature and so on. The buckets can be installed on chain or on rubber belt according to the specific application.
The design is mainly focused on the operation availability of the bucket elevator and on the wear issues, that is typical for this type of conveyors.
Chain type is the most used in case of hot and abrasive material like ash from waste to energy and biomass plants. The special chain connection with the bucket and wear resistant material ensures a long lifetime of the bucket elevator.
Screw Conveyor
Our range of production includes screw conveyors and screw feeders. The design does not include any intermediate support in order to avoid wear and clogging issues. The long-life design ensures very low maintenance costs.
All bearing supports are installed externally and the shaft includes stuffing box that, according to the application, can be completed with greasing or gas fluxing system.
Some applications require special design for high temperature, sticky material, very abrasive application with cantilever shaft in case of injection. The material construction is selected according to the application and process parameters.

Live Bottom Screw Feeder
For extraction applications from silos and hoppers of difficult materials, we supply a Multi-Screws Conveyor with a number of shafts and with a specific design according to the material characteristics. This equipment is very common in the fuel feeding system and in the many applications that suffer clogging issues.
In different industries, this equipment is the best solution to retrofit existing silos or hoppers that suffer bridging or material clogging. Another advantage of this solution is the complete elimination of the compressed air consumption for fluidization that is not longer required. The system can be also installed in ATEX classified area by using specific functional parameter and materials in contact with the materials to be conveyed.
Cooled Screw Conveyor
Water cooled screw conveyors are used in the industrial application when the material with high temperature – up to 1000 °C – needs to be cooled down. The water-cooling system includes an external jacket and, in some cases, also a cooled shaft and flights to meet the required performance. Trough or Pipe type, these kinds of conveyors are generally used in case of small capacity – few t/h – and with a length not higher than 12 m.
All bearing supports are installed externally and the shaft includes stuffing box and rotation joint – if any – to connect the conveyor to the water network.
The construction material is selected mainly in accordance with the design temperature and can be carbon steel up to high quality stainless steel.

Lump Breaker
Our Lump Breaker reduces compacted, lumpy and agglomerated materials from silos, hoppers, filters to their original particle sizes and flowability, making them suitable for downstream processing and/or conveying in particular for pneumatic systems. The double rotor type ensures high flow capacity forcing lumps against the hardened teeth without overworking, until material returns to its original particle size – without generating excessive dust. Lump Breaker includes double rotor with direct coupling gearbox and external bearing to facilitate the maintenance activities. In case the downstream process requires a control of the max material size, the Lump Breaker is equipped with a grid that create a recirculation of the material until the size gets down to the required particle size. Some applications need a special design for high temperature, sticky material or very abrasive application. The material construction is selected according to our experience and process parameters.
Double Shaft Mixer
From either a screw feeder or a rotary valve. It is a totally enclosed and paddle type designed to condition dusty materials in many industries.
Double shaft design is set to give the most efficient mixing action with water being added by a system of spray nozzles up to 30% by weight in accordance with the application.
The mixer has a heavy-duty design and the material of construction can be mild steel or stainless steel. Some special linings are required in case of sticky and/or abrasive materials.
The water capacity can be controlled with a dedicated control system to maintain the same ratio water: material.
Loss In-Weight Feeder
The loss in weight feeder is a gravimetric metering device that receives – virtually all flowable materials – from an upstream discharge device (typically a screw conveyor) and accurately doses the material into a process at a set feeding rate, through a small screw conveyor.
The system includes a storage-weighted hopper with a volume designed according to the process requirements. The hopper includes load cell system and a dedicated and independent plough agitator installed above the dosing screw.
The system includes an on-board control panel, which ensures that the precise amount of material is delivered either continuously or at batch.
The construction can be in mild steel or stainless steel.
Dense Phase Pneumatic System
Our dense-phase solutions use modern technology and high-pressure air to convey plugs of materials through smaller pipes. Handling of materials can be carried out by using one of our
specifically designed pressure vessel to convey the material up to a storage silo.
Our dense-phase vessels are all equipped with special inflatable valve – DOME VALVE – that guarantees a long lifetime of the whole system and many other advantages.
We design and supply the complete pneumatic handling solution including all necessary auxiliary components like pipes, bends, diverting valves and diverting discharge valves.
Special accessories are dedicated to different applications to comply with many technical requirements.
Some applications need an additional compressed air capacity to increase the reliability of the system.

Dilute Phase Pneumatic System
Dilute-phase conveying systems can be offered as pressure or vacuum systems. Our systems feature special abrasion resistant elbows, pipes and valves to extend life and minimize maintenance.
This technology is mainly used when the process require continuous feeding with the capacity control. We can convey low material capacity at medium distance – typically 100 m – using a low-pressure source for the conveying air.
This solution is very common in the flue gas treatment for the additive’s injection and dosing.
We design and supply the complete pneumatic handling solution including all necessary auxiliary components like pipes, bends, diverting valves and diverting discharge valves.
Big Bag Loading and Unloading Systems
The System is supplied as a skid and can be designed for different applications and Big Bag size. The different solutions include the possibility to lift the big bag with fork-lift or with manual/electrical hoist.
It can be provided with a multitude of options such as loss-in-weight batch controls, discharge aids and many other customizations.
We design and supply tailor-made solutions for different applications that, from the big bag unloading station, convey the material to a truck loading or to a pneumatic system or to another point of the plant. Slide Gate Valve
The frame is completely welded and manufactured using an UPN profile or bent plates that guarantees the perfect rigidity in particular for the heavy applications. Available with square and rectangular frame up to a dimension of 1.000mm. Other dimensions are available on request. The design temperature is available up to about 800°C with an actuation through manual handwheel – also with chain – or pneumatic cylinder. The slide gate valve includes, in all versions, an inlet hopper that protects the sliding device from the dust.
Double Flap Valve
The double flap valve is designed to convey in particular abrasive material with a temperature up to 800°C. The flaps are actuated by motors or by pneumatic cylinders. The single flap design is generally operated with a counterweight mass. With a size up to 500x500mm and the possibility to cover a wide range of applications by using different materials construction.
Diverter Valve
Our diverter valve is available in different size and has a special design to reduce the wear during the conveying. The product range includes diverter system for pneumatic conveying or for gravity applications. For abrasive or sticky material our internal lined version is available.

Pipeline Expansion Joints
The design is mainly focused on high pressure applications like dense phase conveying systems. Available in a wide size range and also with special lining for abrasive material.
The design is specific for the pipeline route according to the supporting structure and the conveyed material temperature.
Skid Systems
Some industries require movable or fix Stand Alone Skid Systems for different purpose (dosing, pneumatic feeding and so on) to be used generally for emergency or for some not continuous processes. The skid’s design is different case by case and is influenced in particular by the material characteristic to be conveyed in terms of Ex classification, capacity and site conditions. The skid needs only the power supply and generally is equipped with all necessary accessories like filtration, fluidization, air distribution, cabling and control panel.
Electrical and Control
We integrate our material handling solutions with the design and supply of the electrical and control system as required, with MCC, PLC, SCADA remote control and all necessary local panels for the system operation. The commissioning of the complete electrical and mechanical system is the final phase of every project and is carried out with specialized personnel. Receiving a full scope of supply, including electric and control system from the same supplier can be a big advantage for the customer in order to remove the typical interfaces issues that usually otherwise occur. This also allows a reduction of the commissioning period.
